Sometimes a painting doesn’t need to say something profound.
Sometimes you just see a duck and think, I need to paint that.
I wanted to capture this one in a more painterly way—to let the brushstrokes become part of the duck, rather than trying to paint every feather exactly as it is.
There’s something about a duck that feels both ordinary and completely charming. They go about their business, floating along, watching the world around them, seemingly unconcerned with whether anyone is paying attention.
Duck Duck Goose is a little reminder to notice the ordinary things.
The ones that make you smile.
The ones you might otherwise walk right past.
8 × 10 unframed print on Red River UltraPro Satin Paper and hand signed by the artist.
